Spring graduation is a great time to get together with family and friends to celebrate the occasion and enjoy the weather outside. However, for those planning to graduate in the winter, what can you do?
We collected some of our favorite winter graduation party ideas below.
Fire pit and outdoor s'mores bar
A winter graduation party wouldn't be complete without a fire pit! Gather around the firepit to roast marshmallows and make s'mores. Don't forget to have graham crackers, chocolate bars and skewers on hand. And what outdoor s'mores bar would be complete without a hot cocoa bar? Set up a hot cocoa station with all the fixings: whipped cream, marshmallows, cinnamon sticks, chocolate chips and of course, different flavors of hot cocoa mix.
Bob Ross-themed paint party
Get your creative juices flowing with a Bob Ross-themed paint party. Don't worry, there are no "happy little accidents" here! Guests can follow along with a pre-selected Bob Ross painting tutorial or go off on their own and create a masterpiece.
Don't forget to have plenty of painting supplies on hand, as well as snacks and drinks to keep everyone fueled throughout the party.
Indoor games and activities
If you want to stay inside, there are plenty of games and activities to keep everyone entertained.
Set up a dartboard or cornhole game in one corner of the room and have guests compete to see who can get the highest score. For something a little more low-key, break out a deck of cards or some board games.
If you're looking for something more active, set up a dance floor and have a dance or karaoke party! You can even make it a themed dance party - think '80s or disco.
A cheesy fondue party
Fondue is the perfect winter party food - it's warm, cheesy and can be made ahead of time.
Set up a fondue station with different kinds of cheese, bread, vegetables and fruit. Don't forget to have some dipping sauces on hand, like honey mustard or ranch dressing.
For dessert, have a chocolate fondue station with marshmallows, pretzels, cookies and fruit. Yum!
